A Liar's Cruise

Description

A Liar’s Cruise is an annual fundraising event held the first weekend in October aboard the Tahoe Gal. Attendees depart from Tahoe City and cruise south on the lake until Sugar Pine Point State Park before returning to Tahoe City. The Sierra State Parks Foundation (SSPF) provides food and drinks for attendees. During the cruise, speakers tell stories, and the audience members try to guess if they are telling the truth or not; hence, A Liar’s Cruise. In 2024, we also had a musician play a few songs during the cruise as well. This light-hearted, fun event concludes with a live auction to raise additional funds for SSPF. This benefit cruise is entering its 11th year and the proceeds continue to support SSPF’s great work including preservation and restoration projects and interpretive and education programs in the Lake Tahoe – Donner Lake CA State Parks. www.SierraStateParks.org
