About

The UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) works to advance the knowledge of coupled aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems and their interactions within natural and developed Earth systems, and to communicate science-informed solutions worldwide. UC Davis operates laboratories, a field station, research vessels, and two science centers at Lake Tahoe. Lake Tahoe is changing dramatically. Climate change and environmental degradation have spurred radical transformation beneath the crystal blue water and along the shoreline. In response, the people who know the lake most intimately are taking action for the sake of our shared future.

The UC Davis Tahoe Science Center in Incline Village is open to the public for hourly tours from Tuesday to Friday for guided tours by reservation. We are also open on Saturdays during the summer. The Eriksson Education Center, located in Tahoe City, is open for self-guided tours during the summer months (Memorial Day through Labor Day).
